Totally irrelvant TBer info share thread

Long ago when I was single, grocery shopping involved one bag of rice and many cans of generic "cream of..." soups. Cream of potato, mushroom, broccoli, whatever. Then when I got home I'd rip all labels off the soup cans.

Cook up a generous portion of rice, add soup and stir around til warm. Surprise meal that was filling and cheap, and eating out of the pan meant only two things to wash.

Because something fell on it 30 yrs ago, I have a big toe nail that is split down the middle, 2-3X thicker than my other toenails, and has a greenish hue. Every few months I have to “trim” it with a pair of Craftsman end nipper pliers or else it will continue to grow like an eagle talon and eventually get caught in the blanket and get ripped off (happened several times and never a pleasant experience). One time, my wife’s good friend was so smashed on booze that she professed her “friend love” for me by taking off my shoe and sock and sucking on said toe. This is something that the three of us have never brought up since it happened.

With all the grousing about 2020 been a horrible year, I still had MANY things to be thankful for and had a lot of enjoyment throughout it.

I'm a glass full dude. Sue me. ;)
We had a devastating depression related death in our small family so I’ve been quite annoyed with all the complaining about how horrible this year has been because masks had to be worn/people couldn’t go to the amusement park etc..

Does she think that's the correct word, or does she she say it on accident?

That's my minor gear-grinding grammar gripe.

We've discussed it more than once in 31 years of otherwise marital bliss. If I ask her to spell it she does so correctly, just says it wrong. It's like she hears the right word while she says the wrong one.

Not a deal breaker :D
