My house is three blocks from the USA border crossing bridge. Every week or two I like to drive over and buy groceries in the USA even though they are often more expensive. Sentimental Value! (I'm a Canadian citizen but used to have an H1-B consulting visa and I loved living in the USA around the turn of the millenium)

If I was that close to Canada, I'd be over there every week buying Dare green mints and Fudgee-O's. As it is now, we're about three hours away.

I make ragout and beef stew in a crock pot. Last week a bought 7 pounds of sasauge meat and one pound of chorizo meat at reduced pricing. 7 lbs in the freezer and one in my belly.
