Traben Phoenix Preamp

Ok so I have read all kinds of postings on 18V preamp conversions.....now I am curious.

So is this stock preamp in my Traben Phoenix able to hold an 18V lead? I can't seem to find details on it online and have not seen anyone try it with a Phoenix yet.

The best option is to contact Traben directly since this could potentially fry the preamp if it's not designed for 18V operation.

I should probably do that. I will shoot them an email now. I asked them a question about 6 months ago about the type of wood this Phoenix is made of (website says basswood but not the case....thinking mahogany because of the weight).....but they never got back to me. I will ask them about this though and see if I get a response.
