Trace Elliot 712 SMC fan replacement

Hello, Can someone tell me what tool to use to remove the fan of my Trace Elliot 712 SMC? There is no screw or bolt but a plastic thing. See the image. Thanks

Hi @hajatantely.

Admittedly, a bit late (Necro Necro Necro), but I just got the same amp.

The fan in mine works fine but is quite noisy in my practice room.
It came fitted with a Motor One D08T12LWS fan too.
That fan has a noise rating of 23 dbA.
There are quieter ones available for the PC market, down to about 17 dbA.
But I'm not sure about the wire connections as they are usually 3 or 4 pin for speed control too.

Did you ever replace yours, and if so, what did you go for.
As for the mounts, they are cheap to buy, but there are anti-vibration mounts available too:

I posted a NAD thread in the Amps & Cabs section if you'd like to compare your amp to mine (they seem quite rare).
