trace elliot combo or red sub cab and behringer head

Hi guys, I was wondering if you can help me.
I'm currently looking at getting setup with an amp to gig with in small pubs with a rock cover band. I'm trying not to spend much money which isn't ideal but I will be putting more money into it later on.
My main question today is- which would be more ideal
1. a trace elliot commando 1001 combo for £65
or
2. a behringer bxd3000h head for £50
with
a redsub cabinet b115t hf horn for £90

which would complete the task of small gigs competing with drums and two guitarists?
Or am I wasting my time with any of these items (eg replacing the red sub with a better cab ext)
Thanks in advance guys! :)

I think that 100w Trace Elliot would be too little. 300W Behringer should suffice. I have very little experience with Behringer heads, I'd say it works alright, sound quality plain but honest enough. For the money you plan to spend, I don't think you can get much better. You might want to look for used head TC BH250, which is awesome thing for little money. Or any other class D amp head with at least 250W@8ohm.
