So are the 8inchers a much higher quality can than the 10s?

I don't know about the tens but the 8's are top shelf. Generally speaking two drivers cost a bit more than one when only a single size range apart anyway.

I would gather the 2 by 8 cab is much louder than the 110.

It’s too bad I have no where to try them cause I keep hearing different answers around the web. Some say the 10s are louder and deeper while others say the 8s are.

I’m using the elf with 1x10 cab for rehearsals. If you are playing with a loud drummer, it’s simply not enough. Farts out on the lower strings. Might do better with 2 of the 10” cabs (reaches max wattage and, of course, more speaker area).

How do the lows sound with the 2x8 cab? I listened to the vid but it was hard to hear over the drums. (typical) I would really like to have the elf and 2 of the 2x8 cabs in verticle. but im worried it wont be enough power or the lows will lack alot.

I mostly play in a church band too that can get decently loud.

I just played the Elf head with (1) TE 2X8 and (1) TC BC208 outside and it sounded amazing. Without FOH support, I had fellow musicians walking around telling me they could hear me great!
