A local guy wants to trade me my Fender Jazz 24 V for their Sterling Ray35. I'm not getting a ton of action for the sale of my Fender, but I really dont want a Ray35 since I just got a Lakland 5502.

If I trade, I'd likely turn it around to sell, but would a Ray35 sell better/ faster than a Jazz 24?

If I ask for money on top (since it seems the Fender sells for more than the Sterling) what would you recommend?

Any guidance would be great. What would you do? Thanks!

Unless you really want the bass offered in the trade, I'd just hold out and wait for the right buyer. You're obviously not hard up for cash, otherwise you wouldn't consider a trade, so just be patient. It may take a few months then all of a sudden you'll have someone really interested.

Also, not sure where you have it listed, but if it's not selling here on the TB Classifieds I'd also list it on Craigslist and Reverb, even if you dont want to ship it, just list it as "Local Pickup Only" on Reverb.
