Recently, I saw a very nice MIA Jazz at GC that has been marked down very low. The problem is that I am a bit short on cash so to get it, I would need to trade my two basses. This brings up two problems: I would have no five for a at least a month or two; and I would have no backup (although a passive jazz is a pretty failure freee design.)
I know I would lose may two hundred doing a trade, but the market on TB has been pretty dead the last few months, so I doubt if I could get a quick sale. My rationale is that this is a a regular $1,100 bass being sold for 60% of that price, and I know I can pick up another inexpensive five in a few months when the cash is flowing better. Does going down to one for few months seem worh it?
