I use Transcribe! software on a daily basis to work anything from audio that comes with transcription sheets, play the bass part on a song at a slower tempo, practice over audio recorded during lessons with my teacher, etc.
@ariane put up a very nice video with about everything to know about Transcribe! Handy for newcomers but also a nice reCap for those who use it regularly !

Nice! I have been using Riff Station for years but this is so much better and Riff Station has been discontinued

Great tutorial. I'm already an avid user.

I was surprised that Ari didn't use the automatic beat markers. Consider tapping only m for measure and s for section. Then edit the first marker for automatic subdivision into beat by selecting the beats per measure (e.g., 4). Then edit the section markers to add text (e.g., verse, chorus, bridge). An advantage of this method is that one marker (whether it's measure, section, or automatic beat marker) per beat allows you to determine the tempo in beats per minute. When you edit the section markers and enable viewing of the navigation bar, you can easily see the entire structure of the song and getting to any particular part of the song is really easy. Effective use of the markers is what really sets Transcribe! apart from other loop and slow down software programs.

Good tip. I have 4 pieces to learn for an audition and I'll use this tip.
