but lately I don't have time for much more than Lee's. sometimes people ask me to transcribe a particular song as part of my job. I also do transcriptions of songs for register purposes.

Second song from Linda Ronstadt: SAIL AWAY. In this line we can find lots of fills in a classic rock style. Very much recommended the study of this particular line.

the last one of the songs from Linda Ronstadt. this is a good tune to practice the middle register of the instrument. please notice the fifths that Lee plays because sometimes it makes the illusion that he is playing a 5 string bass.

In this video Leland plays a song he already played three years ago: Rita Coolidge's RUNNING ON EMPTY. in this ocasion he plays a totally diferent line. if you look in the archives and compare the two versions you'll see what I mean. nevertheless, the spirit of the song is kept perfectly and he places his fills almost in the same exact spots. is one of those few times when two diferent bass line fit perfectly in the same song and doesn't change it.
