Travel Bass Recommendation?

Newbie here...

My 13-year old son plays a Hoffner Beatles Bass. He's into classic rock and enjoys improvising blues riffs. I'm looking for something he can use when he travels, or something thinner he can more easily fit in his school locker to use for band practices. Is there anything other than the Sinsonido that you'd recommend?

Sinsonido is it as far as full 34" scale. "Traveler" basses are
32", I believe, and are around the same price. Other than those, he'll have to play the flute.
