Double Bass Travelling Abroad!

Hello!

I currently live in the UK and will be travelling with my school on a music tour to Strasbourg and Tuscany from July 1st - July 8th.

I have bought a humidifier for the trip but I wondered when do I need to start humidifying my instrument - before I leave or when we arrive at the first stop in Strasbourg?

Is there anything else I need to think of to accommodate the hot weather too?

Don't need to humidify unless it drops <35%. Are these areas that dry? I see Strasbourg is 72% today.
Humidifiers are generally necessary in the heating months or a very dry climate.

Your bass should be fine, just don't leave it in the sun baking...

I don't think you need a humidifier at all.
Just keep the bass in a cover when not in use.
As Eric says, keep it out of the sun. Treat the bass the same as you would your own skin.
