Traynor 1150 speaker cabinet

Hey all I'm interested in replacing the speaker in a Traynor model 1150 8ohm 200 watt cabinet.
It's ok, but it could be better. Playing a guitar through this cabinet sounds better then bass.
I think it's from the 70's

Could be worse too. Anything you put in the cabinet has the potential to be worse than what you already have unless you are willing to do the math to determine the suitability of a better driver (for THAT cabinet).

Due to the weight and size, it's probably not worth the cost of a real improvement, and you won't really know if you like the results until after you try it.

You might look for a good used and more modern (ie. lighter, smaller, higher performance) Traynor cabinet that you can try before buying to see if you like it. If you don't you aren't stuck with something you don't like.

I emailed Yorkville Sound asking for some information on this speaker cabinet.
They got back to me and said the same speaker that goes in the new TC1150 Neo will be the correct replacement. Part number 7509.
So I'll track that down.
I understand a more modern cabinet would be better, but I like this one, and I really don't fid it very heavy, it's probably around 60lbs.
