Traynor SB110

Does anyone with a Traynor SB110 know if it can handle the low B of a 5 string or does the speaker fart out if used at the upper end of its wattage. I understand it has an internal low pass filter set to 44 Hz. Certainly not going to be using it in a large band or venue setting. I like the sound of the SB110 for its punch, articulation and brightness and its overall size, but I don't want to push it beyond its capabilities .

Just start turning it up until you hear any speaker distress. If you don't hear any, it is not there. If you do, turn down until it isn't.

I've owned or long term rented all of the SB line, and the one I chose to keep was the SB115. It just does not disappoint, and to get better than the 115 is a huge jump in investment. The SB115 is not much more money than the 110 or 112, is a bit bigger, but really does perform better than the size or expense.

Try them all out, go to L&M and play them all loud, or rent them and put them through the paces before you buy.

Agreed, considering the narrow price range of the three Small Block combos, the 115 is the best value. If size and weight are an issue, the 120W SB110 does pack a punch and has a big sound. However the 112 is a big step up at 200W.

Funny enough, I noticed the biggest difference going from the 12 to the 15, the difference from 10 to 12 was not as obvious, and out of the three the 12 was the one I liked least, because the 10 sounded just as good but was smaller and lighter.
