Tremolo Question

Is it normal to hear the oscillation when engaged yet not playing?

do you have any noise or hum from pickups / effects before the tremolo? it can amplify this....

if I run alot of effects in a line (ie, distortions, fuzz, wah, chorus combined) before even with my fingers muting the strings I hear a faint oscillation sometimes....

if it happens alot I'm guessing a noise suppresor pedal or true bypass loop switching is the only way to really fix it...

Yes, there are trems which behave like this, but not all of them.

If it's engaged, then yes, you will hear oscillation unless your rig is COMPLETELY silent. If there is even the faintest noise, hiss or hum, then the tremolo will fade it in and out unless its bypassed.
