Trickfish J-Core VS. Tone Monster

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has heard both the Trickfish J-Core preamp AND the Guitar Fuel SBK Tone Monster preamp?

I'm trying to decide which one to get. I'm leaning towards the J-Core, with its super neat and tidy "everything attached to a circuitboard" design, but if the Tone Monster actually sounds better, then of course that's the one to get.

I know it's subjective, so I'm asking for sound descriptions or experiences ya know? Like one seemed to have more or less of something you noticed or whatever. Or one of them simply impressed you more than the other. I want to be able to tame my Fender Elite Jazz pickup's high end, which has an overly bright mid and high frequency. I've had the same experience with the newer Ultra series.

If I am correct, the J Core is based on the Pope Flexcore and if so is pretty much at the top of the pre amp game, imv.

And again, I think Trickfish leaned heavily on Pope for their amp pre stage so I'm thinking Trickfish benefitted from that relationship, maybe under some sort of license..??
Compare prices between Pope Flexcore and the other two.

No experience with the Tone Monster.

But I was very, very pleased with the J Core 4-band preamp when I last had a Jazz-style bass.

And probably the easiest preamp installation I ever did.
