There's a nice little bass specialty shop here in Austin called the Bass Emporium. It's kinda small, but they've got some pretty nice basses on display that you won't see in a GC or other general music store.

yea, I'll be makin' a trip there tomorrow. The shop is less than 10 minutes from my house. I've been once, awesome stuff there. I'm still embarrassed takin' my SX in there but I can't play it for the fret buzz so it needs a good setup. I'll have to make sure they are open tomorrow. Either way, I have to run to M'boro anyways...

My experience with Brian and The Low End has been fantastic. Highly recommended
As an aside, I'll be heading to Orlando / Winterhaven in a few weeks, and a friend of mine (Bob Lane / Band: Weszt) and I will be hitting up Bass Central, so I'll be able to post some comparisons. Woohoo!!
