The Rusty doesnt have as much gain as I thought it would, but that makes me happy. Low to medium overdrive is my favorite.![]()
Do I really need the Rusty? I found myself wondering that last night... Ive also got a Fromel Shape EQ and plenty of overdrive options. And how often will I use the Boost switch?
I think once you get it in a mix you may like it even more. I know I did.
silky smoove said:It provides a fair amount of color. Not as much as something like a VT, but it definitely adds something. Whether you like it or not is another story. I love it in my rock band, but hate it in my pop band.
That woman's carrying....Still haven't heard anything and I've been on the list for months.
But (not to rub it in) I was lucky enough to get one in the classifieds. Most of my setup has been in the "experimental" phase for a bit now but I'm really liking the sounds I can get out of this thing. Its played a role in almost every show I've played since I got the thing.
Oh and finally hearing this tone come out of my bass made me go crazy: YouTube - ‪The Jesus Lizard - "Then Comes Dudley"‬‏
Being able to bust out Jesus Lizard and Shellac tones whenever you want is enough reason to own this pedal (though it can produce more sounds than that).
