Interesting, I have not had any problems with it on my Note 8. I am sorry it did not work for you.

I changed it a little. I suppose it was my fault, not the apps fault. I should have used a HPF.

I had no luck with the Ibby mikro though I like many Ibanez instruments. The short scale was handy but the sound was meh. Many here like them though so mine must have been made on Friday.
I'd search CL for a used Bronco/Mustang.

You know what's funny? I can remember in 1983 when I was in high school you couldn't give those basses away. I bought one from a friend for $65. It only had one knob. In reality it didn't need it. And just like the real Stein Burgers it only had one sound. Mine was a Cort. I remember it had two humbucker pickups on it but they both sounded exactly the same. So I guess I only needed one. The good ones were made by a company called Riverhead . I guess we thought they were good because they came in Black AND in natural wood tone.Funny how everyone wants a billion dollars for them now. I think they were $99 new in the Sears catalog .They're still the same "quality" as they were 35 years ago. They didn't get better like with wine or anything. Perfect for jamming under the seat of my pickup truck.

I have a full sized 34” Squier Jazz V in my service vehicle (Ford Transit 250).
I keep it in a gig bag in the cargo area with my tools.
I often think about getting a short-scale instead, because it would be easier to play while sitting in the cab, but I’m having a hard time finding one that I’d enjoy playing, since I play the one in my truck more than the ones at home...
The best one I’ve tried is the Fender Mustang, but I don’t want to drop $600 on a bass that will be in the truck 24/7.
I don’t like the Ibanez Micro 30”, but I want to try some of the new ones they just came out with, 32” scale.

On a side note, my amp is a Vox Headphone amp plugged into the Aux input of the stereo.

Have you tried a Squier SS Jaguar? I bought a new Mustang and preferred the Squier SS Jag. Sold the Mustang and kept the Jag.

Actually, they're hunting. Best to keep your cell phone on you, though - if you bag a possum in the parking lot, you can call your wife and let her know she doesn't need to buy as much meat.

I have seriously considered getting a bass for my truck. Not a nice bass or anything. Maybe one of those $50 POS Steinberger copies. You know a headless one. One small enough that I can stuff under the seat.

I can't tell you the number of times I have been waiting in my truck and wish I had a bass to play. For example when I'm waiting to pick up my kids at school or when I'm waiting for my wife to come out of the supermarket. It wouldn't even need a case I could just stuff it away real quick and my wife and kids would never even have to know it was there.

Just think of how cool that would be. It wouldn't even need pickups or Electronics. Or am I just taking this too far?

You watch now there will be a run on POS headless bases on eBay.

There are a lot of solid body U-bass variants. I’ve entertained a similar thought to the OP. We’ll just add a Bluetooth adapter for playing through the car radio.

Ibanez makes a miKro electric bass that's 28.6 inch scale. $179 new. Might find used for less.

+1 for Ubass or similar. I got the journeyman with round wounds. Slapping is fun with those, and they feel more like the usual bass string instead of rubber bands. I can play mine in the passenger seat with no problems.

If you're going with a solid body and want to amplify, I suppose you could pack a preamp of some sort and do aux in, or just buy an inverter and use a small combo. I have an inverter and it claims to do 300w, so I could bring a decent sized cab in there and power it with the car (er, truck).
