True bypass

I only have 2 Boss pedals in my chain of 11 pedals and they are the two worst tone suckers. A Boss pedal on its own has a pretty good bypass but when you start to add more than one, its starts to become noticable.

All together, me pedal board really doesn't lose much tone or volume. Its really only noticeable with a passive bass which makes sense as there are quite a few cables to go through, even if most pedals are bypassed most of the time.

I have a Radial Bigshot True Bypass Dual looper pedal. Its great but has no indicator lights which is a pain. It was only $70 Canadian brand new and is really well made.

Not to undermine Toasted's link... But adding my looper increased the punch of my signal exponentially.

If my gear was here with me, and not on our gear trucks 80 miles away, I'd upload some A-B mp3's.

I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Cornish (and Toasted.)

I believe that "tone suck" is actually quite often just "level suck" which can be compensated for with correct gain structuring.

BTW, lets not turn this into another senseless TB debate - lets all just acknowledge each others opinions and let it be, ok!?!
