True facts about Dragonforce!

This thread will close somehow, because a majority of us are going to just flat out say "lol dragonforce sucks".

So...

jeese what awful people, that hatred is worse then a lot of black metal bands out there, i mean its just disgusting.



Just another reason to hate Dragoncrap

 

Hmmm, I would have gone with "Dragonfeces," personally. I try to use as much of the original word as possible.

 

I saw Dragonforce live about year ago. I thought to myself wow, what a great band. What talent. What showmanship. And then I remembered it wasn't 1982! God these guys suck! Believe it or not they were playing with Chimara and Killswitch Engage! When Dragonfarce was done playing (the same song for 20 minutes) I was never so relieved in my life! I hear they're big in Europe. Figures.

Just wanted to add some Dragonforce facts to the thread.

 

I admit they can wiggle their fingers fast. Dragonforce may got size, but they don't got the motion of the ocean.

Is their genre really black metal, or is it more like video game music?

 

They ARE in the black metal category. Only because every one who hears them wants to die shortly afterwards.

 

Not too sure about that, hardly anyone seems to know them over here, whereas I keep reading about them on pretty much all the American Internet forums I follow.

 

Dragonforce is considered power metal. Black metal is COMPLETELY different.


I consider Dragonforce a joke band in it's current formation, it doesn't surprise me they came from jokey roots.

 

Yep, Dragonforce isn't big in Europe at all.
They hardly can get a gig at all the respected metal festivals.

I'm a metalhead since I was a kid. And between other metalheads Dragonforce rarely gets mentioned.
They are in a different league then the more common European melodic metal.

I think, if you searched the net, Dragonforce gets more attention from the American continent. (Perhaps because there are not many dedicated European forums around.)
They get attention only because they are oddballs.

I do not dilslike their music. It often has nice melodic metal riffs, but it all sounds sterile and without feeling to me.
They don't deliver the quality that for example Blind Guardian or Rhapsody does.

 

This fact alone sucks.

I saw them with Killswitch and Chimaira too. I laughed my ass of during the entire set, the singer was getting pissed because no one was singing along but no one had even heard of them.

I would consider them video game metal, like something you would hear during a fighting or driving arcade game.

But hey, what do I know?

hahaha the same thing happend to them in Minnesota when I saw them with Killswitch and Chimera.

 

I agree, Dragonforce sucks. Long boring songs, all fo which sound the same. And Ive heard that when they play live they slow everything way down. I.E. THey cant play their own albums at tempo live so they arent even fast (which is the selling point if there is one). I can program notes into a computer. I also hate when people play guitar hero and think they are great.

Those are also points I forgot to make.
It's always the same fixed temp and rythym in their songs. Gets really boring.

I even feel ashame I even tried to remotly tried to compare the to Blind Guardian or Rhapsody.
