I went to a jam this afternoon. I usually bring my own, but wasn't planning on going, but changed my mind as I passed by the venue!
Well, I played some cool old Zeppelin, The Hip and around 45 min of fun music. However, I used the house bass which had action so high that I literally slid my thumb between the 12th fret and the strings!! I can't believe I made it through Come Together having to play with that horrible action lol.
Leads me to my question!
A friend of mine there said I should just keep one of my basses in the trunk of my car! I thought that didn't sound like a bad idea. Maybe something like a cheap Squier Jazz or something.
How many of you do this for such occasions?
Now for the fun part! Post pics of your "Trunk Play at Jam Basses" If you have such as thing...
...and GO!!
