Truss Rod Repair...?

Hey everyone. I fell in love with this G&L 5 string today. It was love at first sight. Price was wonderful, until I saw on the sticker; "Truss Rod does not adjust".

What will it take to fix this, and how much? Thank you in advance!

It depends.

What's exactly wrong with the TR?

Detached anchor point=very bad.

Strippped rod=very bad.

Snapped rod=very bad

Badly seized nut=usually bad.

The nut bottomed out=easy fix.

The nut is stripped=easy fix.

By bad I mean either removing the FB or the skunk stripe is necessary. Or it means that a new neck is in order.


That's my opinion at least .

Great advice from T-bird. Usually a TR repair involves the FB coming off, and thats never too easy... probably be easiest just to buy a new neck. Depends. Like T said.
