So I've lived withh this bass for almost 2 months and this is a keeper. The playability is second to none.The tone on the pbass pickup is a really rocky pbass with a unique grind. Blend the P&J and you get something very close to the mid bite of a T-Bird. This is passive. I find kicking in the pre-amp gives you a lot of variation mostly on the bass as opposed to treble side. This is not a "modern" bass. It works for me.

Agreed. After a good few years of living with it band mates love it. It cuts through the band in a good way and sits well in the mix. Cameras love it. They prefer to shoot the bass...not the bassist.great bass, heavy, but very fast neck, used in UK 2K
