Trying Out Basses

Hey everyone,
I may be heading up to the store from Tampa in about 2 weeks, and I was wondering if there are any basses that are off limits to try and test? There is one bass in particular I would love to play, the Adam Clayton Fender P bass, but as its a $5000 bass, Im not sure if they allow people to play those or not.
