I hate to complain here but this is one of the only outlets I have.
We have an antique dry sink that occupies our entryway and we want it gone. I tried various local methods of selling with no success. So I joined a few local FB antiques and misc for sale groups today.
One night and my message center is overflowing with "Please mark as sold and send me your Zelle or Venmo account information and I'll send payment"
It's exactly the same wording in every case.
Can you not do anything online anymore????

No, you can’t do anything online anymore.

Are there any antique shops around you that would do consignment? You won’t get money right away and will have to pay a cut to the shop, but at least it will be out of your house.

The lack of a good outlet to sell takes any fun out of collecting stuff.

You could donate it to charity, like Habitat for Humanity for instance.

We occasionally see several dry sinks at the antiques malls we frequent.

I post very clearly in any Facebook marketplace ad that terms are cash and local pickup only. I still get the odd outlier, but better than nine out of 10 respondents are legit. I am also not in a major city, so that might help

While we want it gone it's valuable. From researching the design it's probably at least 200 years old. But in excellent condition.
So the suggestion of the dump or giving it away is absolutely out.
There are lots of antique co-ops in the city that would do consignment but all that I've talked to want it brought to them. It's 49x24x31 and heavy. We have small cars.
So I'll keep trying and hoping.
