Well, I got my YBA-200 in the mail the other day - fired it up today and....well, here's the post I left in the YBA200 thread (hoping to get some more response/help from the general tube amp expert crowd):
The YBA 200 got here....and....
Houston, we have a problem. I'm tube rolling as I type; however, I have a distinct snap/crackle sound every 3.5 seconds once I take the amp out of Standby (heard through the cab).
This being my first bass all tube amp, I'm puzzled and annoyed. Even though I'm finding out how the EQ is working, there's no way I could play this out right now with an annoying "Snap!" every 3 seconds.
Any idea what this is? Would love to know fairly quickly as the amp just arrived.
I'm rolling tubes - other than the crackle, I'll figure this out. OBTW, the Dr. Bass cab (1260) sounds just fine with this head.
