Tuner identification

Hey there!

So, I'm working on getting the pieces together for my first build, and need some help trying to track down some non-fender tuners.

Apparently off of a 70s Musicmaster:

Seems to be from a 70s Teisco

I can't seem to track down any other pictures of these types of tuners, so I have no idea if they are from what the ebay listings claim. Specifically, I'd like to know manufacturers.

If tuners of these types end up being too pricey, I'll just pick up a set of hipshot lollipops. But I really like the idea of doing something... crazy.

I can't help with identity, but the top ones look pretty cool, they have some beefy gears and the keys (ears, buttons, whatever) are awesome. I am convinced that any tuners of that type of construction can be made to perform with a cleaning, lube and maybe a peening on those worm bearings to firm them up if needed. The bottoms, not so much; just low quality, sloppy junk.

Oh, the bottom ones are definitely cheapo stuff. They're up on Ebay for 30 bucks, and I'm not bidding on them. Mostly hoping that if I find out what the nickname for that type of tuning key is, I could find someone a bit more modern who's done a better recreation.

The top ones, though. I can't find another musicmaster on the web that uses those. I've found a couple Peavey Dyna Basses from around 1991-1992 that use something similar, but not exactly the same.

Any help in tracking these down is appreciated.

Denver luthier and board member, Samantha Cay, has some of those that you have labeled Teisco. I believe she told me they were from an 80's MIJ bass. I don't remember the make, but you might ask her.
