Tuner parts source

In depth explanation:

A while back I purchased the tuners for my seven string bass project, but I bought a kind I had never seen before. They look just like most modern tuners but the "handle" part of them is made out of this pearloid kind of plastic which looks cool but two of them have chipped while I was tuning making the tuners unable to work except with pliers. luckily these tuner handles are the kind that screw in from their top, so all I have to do to fix the problem is replace them with metal parts. Does anyone know a place that will sell just the handle part of a tuner?

Shortened explanation:

Need this part in black; where can I get it?:

We don't have a "smacking-yourself-upside-the-head" emoticon available to us here or I'd use it -- on myself. I just posted a similar question above (( why this post didn't come up when I searched the Luthier's Corner I dunno )). Anyhow...if you find a source who offers parts for these parts, PM me ... and I'll do the same for you.

You'd think that there must be components available -- they get their parts from someone, too! But I've been to Allparts, Warmoth, WD, others and haven't found yet. The search goes on...
