Oh, I didn't think about the fact that it might mute - didn't realize that was a thing. I will look in to that tuner!

A couple of things that I really like about the Boss TU tuners (and indeed, all their pedals) is that the foot switch is (a) big and (b) really quiet. There might be tuners out there that track faster, but given that my TU-3 tracks fast enough for me I’m not looking for alternatives since that switch is so quiet and comfy. Once I’m tuned up, my main use of the pedal is muting so for me a quiet switch is more important to me that raw tracking speed.

I bought the Peterson Stomp HD two weeks ago. Great piece of gear and very accurate. I’m pretty sure they are running some Black Friday deals.

I use a sonic research strobe tuner pedal for the very same reason that and it gives the best Low B response
It is on my pedal board and I wouldn’t be without it

About the Sonic Research Turbo Tuner: The full size version of the pedal can be set to pass the signal out while in tuning mode (by use of an internal switch), but the Mini version of the pedal can't be set that way and will always mute the signal.
