Tuning a 6er C to C#?

Would it be possible to tune a 6 string bass to C standard like C F D# G# C#? Or would the High C just snap or be unplayable?

With the right strings any tuning is possible.

A light 6-string set designed for B-E-A-D-G-C, when tuned a half step up to C-F-A#-D#-G#-C#, would have roughly the same tension as a medium set. So, that should work just fine.

Are you sure this is what you mean? F to D# is a bizarre interval. C - F - (Bb/A#) - (Eb/D#) - (Ab/G#) - (Db/C#) ?
