I don't alt tune. I have to wonder if there is really something you can't play in regular tuning that alt tuning and this tri-tone tuning provides ... particularlu with the tapping technique the OP used in his sample track ?
For one thing you have different harmonics that you can’t play with any other tuning. As you can hear in the bridge/fingerstyle part.
Also you have other open strings which can be used to get new chords. And because of the different tuning you get new chord shapes and voicings etc that are mostly impossible in standard tuning.
That’s the reason why many guitar players use open or alternate tunings.
