Hey all, I recently installed a JZ3 in my Jazz with Model J buckers, and I'm not finding my tone with it anymore. Even with the mid control, I'm having trouble cutting, and the bass seems to have a woody, almost acoustic tone now, which doesn't work for my style. Also, I can't get that rolled off bridge, Jaco style tone anymore.
Is this a case of incorrect settings, or is the active bass just not for me? I think I'm going to pull it out and put my passive back in for my show on saturday.
