Tweeter Whine

Hopefully yours is working well for you. I’m a bit stuck with mine. Can’t send it back to France without paying about what it cost to purchase it originally. So unless someone will buy it at a discount and disclaimer that it’ll only do well on a cab without a tweeter, it’s going to remain a shelf ornament.
I am in the same situation.

I don't buy a lot of gear online since I primarily play an acoustic bass but this is the only time I've ever been felt burned buying music equipment in 15 years as a professional musician.

I definitely would not buy one of these again!!!

This is why larger, more comprehensive companies invest so much in their designs and in testing/validation prior to production.

It’s also why manufacturers invest the money in safety and EMC compliance testing, to insure that the products are VERIFIED as safe and free from EMC related noises and/or interference with other equipment. Part of CE EMC testing is immunity testing, insuring that a product is immune to expected levels of environmental RF noise.

Of course this adds cost to the products, but now you know why it’s important.

After looking up what these amps are, that’s my guess too. There’s probably a wrong way to mount/ground/power the off the shelf module that could cause it.
You can guess until the cows come home, but there are many possible causes. It may have nothing to do with the power supple either, it may be the class D power section or even something external to the power module entirely.

That's why the field of diagnostics and root cause analysis exists, so that guessing isn't necessary.

I have used it with a bunch of different cabs. Some with and without tweeters and I haven't noticed a thing.
