We are excited to announce the second year of the Twin Cities Bass Camp! In 2014 we will be welcoming world-renowned performer, virtuoso, and pedagogue François Rabbath to the camp. He will conduct masterclasses, a teacher training workshop, and present an evening concert. Spots in Mr. Rabbath's classes are limited, so register now!
The TCBC is open to bassists at all levels and all ages. We are dedicated to the art of playing the bass, and to having a great time while learning and opening new horizons for everyone on the instrument.
The TCBC faculty - François Rabbath, Jeff Bailey, Shawn Conley, Johnny Hamil, Jeff Harshbarger, Maggie Hasspacher, Dōan Brian Roessler, and Bill Schrickel - are world class bassists, educators, and people dedicated to making a positive impact in the world through music. The Twin Cities Bass Camp philosophy is that we learn and teach best when were open and are having fun - music is about joy and connection to community.
The Twin Cities Bass Camp will be held July 7 11, 2014 on the campus of McNally Smith College of Music. TCBC activities include a bass orchestra, masterclasses with different faculty members each day, ensembles, classes on jazz, orchestral playing, solo playing, improvisation, playing in a rhythm section, and more.
