I would definitely try the lean Caribou fattened up with crisp bacon - I've had fish & chips before, but the $ was right.
Went to their site. $17.00 for a Salmon sandwich? It was caught two miles away.
ENTREES
Alaskan Expedition- $59.00
Fresh Alaska salmon, bacon wrapped caribou medallion, and Alaskan king crab. Loaded mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a starter of a house salad with choice of dressing.
Kodiak Caribou- $30.00
Two grilled bacon wrapped caribou medallions with bourbon sauce, potato of the day, seasonal vegetables, and a starter of a house salad with choice of dressing.
I would have done the Kodiak Caribou. drool

$60 for King Crab, salmon, local veggies, & I get to taste caribou? Done deal for me, especially when a salmon sandwich is $17, & fish 'n chips $28.

Two hours outside of the city. Fresh caught. Alaskan prices. Tourist community. There's your formula.
comparing the crowd's clothing to recent gigs in the heat of So Cal. I kinda would prefer your crowd.
Makes me wonder what kind of bacon! Pig bacon or some other exotic critter?

@twinjet excellent report! And excellent scenery! I'm proud to be a lifelong Alaskan. Surprised that our tourist traps in town are about half the price of your fish and chips, crab, etc. But great gig, great music, great share! Thanks!
With many of the replies being about the food, this really makes me remember the concept of the "starving musician"! ( but AKA, the food at that place looks like it rocks! )
