Twits

I made an account but never followed anyone. I just wanted to get my username saved. Then I started getting suggestions on who I would be interested in following in my email. I am most certainly not interested in anything having to do with the Kartrashians. Then it struck me that it's for the pop culture, instant gratification crowd mostly. I put tweety on my spam list and never went back to the site.

A friend described it as Facebook for people with ADD. I've never used it, but that matches my perception.

I've never felt the need to create a Facebook account. In fact, no one has ever given me a good reason to get one, and many have tried for years: I don't play online games, I don't think others give a rat's behind about what I'm doing (or where I'm going) every minute of the day, nor do I want to be "friends" with people I have nothing in common with other than the fact they are "friends" with someone I know. And as far as hooking up with lost friends- if I haven't spoken to you in 35 years, there is a reason.

Back on topic: When I first became aware of Twitter, I wondered why they called them "Tweets" instead of "Twits". Tweets should be on Tweeter, and Twits on Twitter.
