So, at my invitation, a young(er), tech-savvier friend loaded Twitter on my phone last weekend.
The New York Rangers and The Sydney Swans have been checking in with me...and that's cool. I'm happy to see that the Dept. Of The Interior (which I help fund) has some folks out there taking Beautiful pictures of our National Parks, and that the beluga whales at the Georgia Aquarium are doing ok...but for the most part, it feels like my friend, David, gave 3 hits of blotter acid to a baby rhino, and then let it loose inside my phone...

How 'bout Your experiences with Twitter?

Nope.

I do not and never have tweeted, tumbled, flicked, snapped, linked, scoped, spaced, faced...okay, I've spaced before but I'm not sure if it was the weed or the LSD ...what were we talking about.

This site is the only "social media" I do. I like this site but it is enough of a time suck for me. I can't imagine how or why so many people keep up with so many "social" accounts.

The webber-netz home page alone can be enough of an overload.

You go on and see that your favorite team won, but the market tanked and/or/so you decide to order some food (never done that either), route a trip, book accommodations, look up a local retailer or whatever and suddenly you find yourself trying to understand why your most awesom-est, best bass for metal, didn't come with a box and only works for every genre ever except the one your into because it's a ****er.

None for me, thanks; no Twitter, FB, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.. My GF uses all of them and she keeps me up to date with important posts (upcoming events, dinners, parties), although they are probably only 5% of the content she sees regularly. I don't get the "everything I do needs to be shared" mentality- okay, your Big Mac looks pretty like in the commercial, good for you (or McDonalds).
