Red Vines are the only ones that are edible. I think Twizzlers are what they feed people in those North Korean prison camps.

Twizzlers Sweet and Sour cherry/lemonade Pull ‘n Peels are my go-to cheat day candy. I don’t know if they count as licorice… they’re more of a mouthful of cavities in a licorice rope format.

There may be some truth in this. I've always liked it even as a kid. Never was a red licorice fan. I like my coffee black too

by the kilogram. Or 3 1-kilogram bags in a box. Get the ones from Holland, not a knock-off from elsewhere (which I almost think this picture might be.) Actually, I've cut back a lot since overdoing the real licorice evidently has negative impacts on blood pressure.

Hard, black, tasty. But not the salted stuff - that is not one that's ever done it for me.

Neither, thanks. This stuff here is surveyor's plastic flagging tape - for tying around survey stakes, and whatever. We used to chew pieces of it while on the job (the orange tape was particularly good..). AFAIC, the only difference between flagging tape and Twizzlers/Red vines is that you shouldn't swallow the tape, but it was free. The taste, though, was just about the same...
