Two Geniuses: Luther Vandross & Anthony Jackson

One really cool thing about my Sadowsky Modern that I was not expecting is how great it sounds with a pick. The combination of great pick tone and killer B string made me think of the late, great, Anthony Jackson. One of his simpler, but killer tunes with great tone is the Luther Vandross cover of a “A House is Not a Home,” from Vandross’ 1981 debut. Anthony Jackson could play simply and knock your socks off while Luther Vandross was one of the great Soul or Pop vocalists of all time. This version of the song is classic.
