Well, mine aren't EXACTLY the same:

First off, I would never ask a bassist why they have more than one of anything. BUT if I DID, they could satisfy me with 3 words, "To play them.".

Now if they weren't planning on playing them, just collecting them, like art, I'd shake my head, and say "It's a free country and you certainly have the right to do that but they are instruments, they were MADE to be PLAYED!"
