I was wonderin if someone could tell me how you achieve two different woods on a fretboard. Or is it the same wood with one side dyed? Could someone clear this up for me?

Yeah I've seen it on Conklins, Wyns, and a Roscoe that I was thinking about purchasing. I wanna get anotha custom made and I want that same look on mine. Could someone explain how they achieve this look?
