Tye Zamora (alien ant farm)

I'm not a huge AAF fan at ALL. But Tye is THEE man.

In regards to why they aren't popular; didn't the singer (or other member) break their neck in an accident right after "smooth criminal" was getting its buzz? I'm sure that hindered any sort of wave riding on the popularity of that song.... which is a bummer.

In any case, AAF kinda reminded me of a nu-metal version of Glassjaw...

I liked their first album. I could be wrong but didn't Tye leave the band for a while, to finish / go to college or something like that? Nice to see a rocker with the sense to think beyond their music career!

That's his Fender model. Cost $7400

He actually co-built the first bass with Dave Parr (Movies Video). Then got sponsered by Fender, and had the Fender Custom shop make a version of his design. This is what he told me when I met him backstage. At one time, there was going to be a signature model.

I'm a huge AAF fan. Tye did leave the band for a while to go to school, he recorded the bass parts for their last album before taking off. He has since rejoined the band, and I can't wait for a new album.

He has been a big influence on my playing style.

Tye has a lot of basses, including one being built by Shawn May of Plymouth Michigan. Link Removed

Absolutely amazing bassist. Although his on stage antics make me cringe, he is one of my main influences. The band as well is fantastic. Just listen to Denigrate or Universe. Amazing basslines and band.
