I am planning on modding a Wishbass that has a single J pickup that is exactly 13" from the 12th fret to the edge of the pickup.

I am considering adding a P toward the neck, and a second J as a bridge pickup. All wired parallel with indivdual volume control for each pickup.

I might try the method described by SGD Lutherie, but I don't have the pickups yet.
