That is really great! I have been joking about forming the ultimate cover band based on the list Burk generated of the "Best Pop Basslines" - It may not be as much of a joke as I originally thought.

I've been playing for over 30yrs and this is the first cover band I am playing in that does music I am interested in. Go for it and form a band that does material you are into.

That would be good advice for just about anybody (including me )

I took the first step. I will be 'putting in my notice' with my current band on Sunday. It will probably be a long step since I plan to make my last gig the currently booked last gig on our calendar (December 16 or 17) - unless they find someone sooner - but the first step is afoot! I want to focus on my project bands and other music projects. This cover band has lost it's appeal.

As you will find here - a lot of people agree! The tab is a good way to 'get the lay of the land' - but nothing beats listening to Mr. Rainey do that voodoo that he do so well!
