U.S. Peavey Club

That bass also has an EMG Pu and that is enough to turn me away. Nothing wrong with EMG but there was nothing wrong with the Peavey PU either.
The whole point in having a Patriot bass...
it's small body, great Super Ferrite pickup and unusual pickup placement. :bassist:
There are tons of very good basses designed around various EMG pickups.

Hoping some of you guys can help me out here-

I am nearly certain this is a USA cirrus 6 (redwood top it looks like?) but i can't figure out how to specifically ID if it's the cheaper/import lines.

I have plans to meet the seller at a half-way point between our locations in a week. we negotiated down from the listed price $100 + a gigbag, but he's 100% firm there.

so, good deal? usa model? what is that top wood?

i've played these basses before and know i like them. Just want to confirm this this is what i think it is?

thanks!!

Hey Y'all.

I'm searching for a Patriot neck, specifically rosewood board with painted black headstock. I have peavey swag to trade, including knobs, various pups, a maple Pat neck with the double lines, or cash. I also have a red Patriot project I'd be willing to part with...

Thanks!

So I'm looking for that neck for this loaded body I bought through reverb. The seller said he removed the neck and put it on his Foundation, he sent a picture of the bass with the neck...I would have thought it would have been a custom neck with all the gold parts...? I also traded tuners and string tree for his gold ones. pickgaurd is a bummer but the rest is in decent shape.
I think RW and black headstock would look pretty cool.

Cheers!

That would indeed look sick. I'd be inclined to recommend looking for a Foundation S neck, which are way more abundant and would fit your color scheme.

I purchased my 1st US Peavey this morning. Got it from Reverb. It's a Forum model, maybe a 1994.
a previous owner installed Seymour Duncan pickups in it.
The P pick up is a Steve Harris signature, don't know about the J pickup.
I love this color scheme, I'm a big UGA Bulldogs fan!
I guess it's time to " hurry up and wait".

I have one the same color but mine has the original electronics. I saw that one and wondered why someone changed the PU's. Perhaps one went bad. The original Peavey PU's include a jazz humbucker which is perfectly balanced with the P pickup. I have owned the Fender Hot Rod Precision which is the same P/J style of bass and it did not sound nearly as good as my Forum. You have a really nice bass coming and I am sure you will enjoy it.

Nice! Welcome! Looks to be a Quarter Pounder bridge pickup. It's output and bigger low end should mix well with the Harris, which is essentially a slightly overwound vintage P pickup. Cool pickup choices.
I have a '94 Forum Plus in metallic green. It's a really, really nice bass. I replaced the original actives with a set of Wilde P46/J45L that sound really great with that bass.
