U.S. Peavey Club

Hipshot is struggling HARD to fill orders. I was offered this black and chrome Aluminum bridge as a sub for all chrome. I’m glad I accepted! View attachment 4675558
That looks sweet!

You were saying earlier that you want the pickguard to be unique. You could simply cut off a control plate section, and replace it with chrome. I don't know if that'd be unique enough, but I think it'd look good.

I was probably talking about the T-40 that we painted Kopper Pearl. But, I am toying with making a unique pickup ring for the T-45.

I’ve got a few ideas, one of which might just work…. We shall see. :-)

How did you like the T20 FL... I had one of the worlds few t40 FL... it was not passable

I like both my T20FL AND the T40FL. What was not "passable" about it for you, MN? My only real black mark against it is that it weighs 11.91 pounds. Come to think of it, that's lighter that some of my FRETTED T40s!

Well, frets do weigh something, right? And on a T40, like everything else on them, it's probably not an insignificant amount!

Did anybody get the Tiger eye Millennium body? I was soooo tempted to bid but I'm up to my a$$ in Peaveys

Was tempting... I'm probably too cheap.... mentally reliving the days when I'd find them at garage sales and dumpsters.

Full disclosure, I had Peavey Make me a mated serial number neck for my T40.... it was silly on my part - I wasn't into it with maple/frets... kind of silly to think going fretless would make a difference.

My problem -- total gear arrogance. I held onto it because of the condition etc. I was comparing to silly expensive botiques. That all being said, I dont connect with my USA Pbasses either.

Just personal preference, the output was not Hi-Q....

Then need -- I never found a gig to play it at (they all wanted upright).

Oh boy, do I ever understand this. I have played hundreds of gigs on upright bass that would have been much better, except for the look, on electric bass. On one gig that repeats a few times a year I insisted on electric bass much to the delight of the audience who is used to seeing me play the upright bass. They have remarked that the electric bass sounds so good and it does. I usually use my G.Gould ggi6 played through an Aguilar rig. That gig is coming up on the 22nd of this month and I will use my newly acquired Mesa Subway rig and probably play my Modulus Q6.

I was once hired to play a big band gig where the usual bassist played a Fender P bass. I have been playing 6 string basses for a long time and had a lovely Alembic Europa 6 at the time. I played that bass and played the gig well but got lots of strange looks from the guys in the band and was never asked to play that gig again. Many times it is all about the "look" rather than the actual performance.

I play 3 regular gigs each week. All of them are on unamplified upright bass but that is the right instrument for these gigs. I do play in the church worship team each Sunday and play electric bass so my Cirrus, Gould and Modulus basses take turns getting out of the house at least once a week.

Hey all, I just picked up this super ferrite off eBay, but it seems a little different that most I’ve seen. Is this one of the humbucker ones from the TL5s? And does anyone know the way to hook this thing up? Seriously considering putting it into my mishmash Patriot.

Hulk Hogan is selling it…. Brother!
I'm not a fan of that term when people address me that way.
I have three brothers, and I don't see friends or especially strangers that I met ten minutes ago as a brother.
I know it's a hold-over from the military and from bike gangs, but it just rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah, I just read it in his listing and thought of Hulk, since he always said it.
