Hello Peavey owners!
I want to change my Ibanez btb 5 strings, and somebody is offering me a Peavey T40, I want to know how it works for you guys, I just love the way it looks, I know that that thing is heavy, what can you tell me about it?, the sound, playability, etc.
Thanks!
... I have a Peavey Dyna-Bass Unity, Midnight Blue. It's a 1989, already somewhat modded- by me of course, as that's what I do! But I love this bass, and have just recently found this out. I have it strung B-E-A-D, and it's a sweetie. Hey guys I am starting a U.S. Peavey Club here at Talk Bass, please let me know if you are interested. Thanks Joe![]()
The tone is very hip- remember Ross Valory's line in "Stone in Love"? That was a Peavey T-40. Great bass- the tone is not only in the pickups, but the dang mass of that tank! And it plays like a Peavey, which means it has a very positive feel and a lively response.
Get it, you won't be sorry you did.

Wow Nasnederis, that didn't take long. Welcome and enjoy, that's a sweet looking early T40 you have there.
