Strangely enough, I do type in Scots
There's some keyboard app on my phone translates to English, guess it slipped up this time.
Haha I always look to see where someone is from and play that accent in my head as I read it.
I remember clearly back in 1985 and 1986 when Bananas At Large was on the corner of 4th and Lincoln in San Rafael, CA and they were a Peavey dealership. Stan was the bass salesman and the walls were covered with Foundations in every color. MINTY FRESH. They had Peavey Basic 40's, and 60's against the wall. My DREAM rig was a Foundation and a Basic 40. I was 16.
Two years later, I was working at Guitar Center San Francisco on the corner of Mission and Van Ness. I then went on to play Trace Elliot AH150 heads. Or as we called it back then "Try Sellin' It" because they were SO EXPENSIVE but I had the Mark King tone and I was thrilled !!!!!
Those new Peaveys look so good even in the catalog.
I got the donor bridge for $14 new on ebay from a US seller, but if you're not in any hurry, you can get (what i believe are) just the saddles from a chinese seller for $10 and save a few bucks.

Thanks....I'll tell you why I was so curious. My 1987 Patriot is a non-Custom with maple board and non-matching headstock. BUT it has Schaller tuners rather than clovers like the picture shows. A mid-year change maybe?
I didnt realize Peavey was using the block script logo in 1992. I always liked that logo more than the spikey logo

Hi AudioT..yep cause I bought a '91 Dyna Bass with the written script and the next year or so I noticed the block scripted logos on their Dynas too. The Dynas went through a few changes of headstock machinehead design for the 5ers..mine is a 3+2 design but they changed that also to a 4+1 like the EBMM design..i'm sure kodiakb could enlighten us further.
I used to have a bunch of the old Monitor magazines from that era. I had friend that worked at the local Peavey dealer where I bought all my gear and he used to toss them to me when they came out. Unfortunately they've disappeared over the years.
Update on my Millennium. After leaving it to dry out since Friday night I pulled it out of the case and worked the knobs for a couple minutes, plugged it in and it worked fine. The Mid sweep did feel a little odd at first but smoothed right out. Played it for about 2.5 hours and its fine.

Lol yep..I wanted it too in approx 1990, that 4+1 head styled 5er, so I ordered a white one through a large music shop here as middleman to Peavey US..I waited about 3 months from memory when the shop rang me and said it was in. I opened the case in the shop and she was candy red..not white, stacked knobs and a 3+2 machinehead combination instead of what is in that mag picture (4+1). I certainly wasnt disappointed, but all my basses except for an Azureglo (blue in the late 70's) Rickenbacker 4000, all basses have been red up to 1991. The T-40 is a natural and my 5 string EBMM Stingray is dazzling white. In 1991 when I got the Dyna 5 I turned into a 5 string player overnight without looking back, although I still love my 4 string 2017 4003 Fireglo Ric and the white StingRay 5, but that '91 Peavey Dyna Bass has gigged with me for the best part of 30 years and still can sound like an EBMM and a Ric when played right and the settings are adjusted.
The dip switch tone settings on the Dyna 5 look like this pic below and have been at that setting for 29 years with dip switches 1 and 8 off. By changing a couple of dip switch settings I got a more gnarly bitey mid type of shift..and together with the power and extra control of the parametric active channel on the Peavey MKIV head I had enough gravel to rival any Ric if needed..that rig and bass combination rocked my city here for nearly 30 years. They say nothing sounds like a Ric..well this Dyna Bass setup the way I have it through the old MKIV with that 1820 cab sure sounded mighty Ric to me sometimes. In the end I bought 3 Rics anyway loll but that Dyna Bass is never gonna be sold.

Gig on Friday night was so bloody hot we were all sweating to death. I mean soaked. Anyway I think sweat got down the mid pot and the whole bass cut out. Changed batteries and when I was working all the pots when I got to the Mid stack just a bunch of noise like a bad input jack. Anyway, I let it dry out real well until today and she's working fine.
Yep TI i seem to recall reading something along those lines a few days ago..glad you took the careful approach and decided to wait and let it dry to evaluate again from there..I think I read maybe you were considering a small amount of Deoxit D5? Was that you? My memory sucks bad these days but I think it was you and remember you saying you might let it dry..well done..maybe a tiny tiny bit of D5 if it starts to play up..too much of that stuff can rot the actual insulation in pots switches and connections..so little is best loll
