Though it gets a bit of the "Emerson"treatment at the end,I've always found Trilogy by ELP beautifully melancholy. But Elton John and Bernie Taupins' "Goodbye" could bring a tear to the eye of the most hardened. What's your "Ultimate Break Up Song"?

We did this song in my last classic pop/rock band.Same as it ever was...
buh buh buuuh buh buh buh buh buuuuhhhhh.
Depends on your outlook on things, really. Some don't see endings, they see new beginnings, and a chance to have fun. And to look deep into philosophical pondering- like- where did the cheese go?
Also one of the best breakup metaphor songs, Last Chance Texaco. Those Rickie Lee albums are great.“Company” by Rickie Lee Jones.. I defy anyone to not be profoundly saddened by this song.. Seriously..
Everything about those albums stands out to me, the players/playing, songwriting and the mixes were great, those albums still sound great!Jerry…thanx for gettin’ it! So many genres and fabulous music by so many almost ethereal musicians..Rickie truly belongs in the pantheon of the greats..Some pretty darn passable bass playing on those records as well…
